Special Events

We provide additional ongoing and special events for children throughout the year. It's always a good idea to keep an eye on our calendar of events and "The Hill Topper" newsletter to make sure you don't miss anything. The following are some of the opportunities you may want to consider for your child. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Methodist Kid Fellowship (MKF) is a ministry for children from 3 years old through 5th grade. Fellowship events may include our fall festival, Jesus' birthday party, family picnic fun, swimming, bowling and an Easter egg hunt held during the year.

Vacation Bible School is offered every year in the summertime for children 3 years old through 5th grade. This is always an energy-filled 5 day event and also is an outreach event for our community. It's a great way for your children to have fun, learn and make new friends. Nursery is available for children below participant age. Check out the 2009 VBS pictures taken by Beth Wilkinson.

KidsQuest is a 3-day retreat that is held in the fall at Epworth by the sea for children in 3rd grade through 6th grade that helps kids live big as part of God's creation.

Boy Scout and Cub Scout meetings are held at our church as an outreach to the community. RHUMC holds the charter for a Boy Scout and Cub Scout Troop. Cub Scouts is open to all boys age 5 to 10. Boy Scouts is open to all boys age 11 to 18.

Girl Scout meetings are also available for the young women in our community. Call the Savannah Girl Scout Council at 236-1571 to determine which program your child should attend. Daisy's, Brownie's, Junior's, Cadet's and Senior Girl Scout programs are all available in Richmond Hill and most meet at this facility.
